A novel approach, that can be taken by elected officials, for retribution purposes, is called the "Grab-N-Go". In this scenario, certain entities acquire all of the knowledge about your product, service or book and then release it themselves, ahead of you, in a copied or pirate version, without paying you, in order to squash your product value and damage you, and your company.
